The aim of this module is to enable trainees to identify special needs children and follow appropriate referral procedures. 
At the end of the module, trainees should be able to:

• use simple tools to identify symptoms of various disorders or disabilities and difficulties;
• develop strategies to assist educators in helping the needy children;
• demonstrate skills to work in collaboration with parents and educators towards referral; and,
• implement appropriate referral procedures
